OLEOVITIS is working to clarify the situation regarding grape seed meal existing in Spain, since it is considered a residue and therefore its use as a co-product for animal feed or biomass is not allowed.
This situation entails an important tax for this co-product since the waste companies request a payment from the companies in order to withdraw the product.
When the grape seed meal, as it is considered a co-product, is sold to the different operators and is a benefit for the associates. This situation will also be implemented in the rest of the Member States.
